At approximately 11:48 p.m. on December 2, police were dispatched to the report of an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her residence when she heard the door handle moving and observed the suspect holding a flashlight outside. The victim screamed, prompting the suspect to flee prior to police arrival. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that entry was forced to another portion of the residence, causing damage. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on December 3, police were dispatched to the report of an attempted burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her residence when she heard noise coming from the door and observed the unknown suspect attempting to gain entry unsuccessfully. The victim yelled and the suspect fled prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a male with olive skin and black hair. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 11:32 p.m. on December 5, police were dispatched to the late report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 7:55 p.m. on December 4, the victim was at a bus stop in the area, when two male suspects approached her and grabbed her bag. A brief struggle ensued over the bag before one suspect took it. Both suspects fled on foot. Suspect One is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20’s, 5’5”-5’6”, with brown eyes and black hair, wearing a black jacket, black hat and black pants. Suspect Two is described as  Hispanic male in his late 20’s, with brown eyes, black hair and wearing a tan snowsuit style outfit. The investigation is ongoing.

ARMED ROBBERY

At approximately 5:45 a.m. on December 21, police were dispatched to the late report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 6:30 a.m. on December 5, the female victim was waiting at a bus stop when she was approached by two unknown male suspects. The suspects forced her to the ground, produced a firearm and stole her personal property. Both suspects are described as males with brown skin, 5’8” – 5’10” tall with a skinny build and curly black hair. Both were wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident. At approximately 5:12 p.m. on December 10, police were dispatched to the report of an assault that just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that three juveniles were walking in the area when the suspect allegedly began to follow them. The suspect then approached the female victim from behind, grabbed her buttocks and placed his hands around her, pulling towards him. The victim pushed the suspect away and yelled for help. The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival and a canvas of the area returned with negative results. The suspect is described as a white male, 30 – 40 years old, 5’7” – 5’9” tall with a lanky build. He has dark hair, a dark brown goatee with highlights of gray and stubble around the cheeks. He was wearing a tan hoodie and baggy, light blue jeans at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

The investigation determined that the victim was walking in the area when she was approached from behind by two suspects. The female suspect demanded her belongings and cell phone, while the male suspect brandished a firearm. The suspects fled the area with the victim’s belongings prior to police arrival and the victim ran to seek assistance. The victim was not injured. Suspect One is described as a white female, with a skinny build, brown hair, wearing a pink shirt, a dark colored vest and dark pants. Suspect Two is described as a heavy set white male, wearing a black vest, white shirt, white hat and jeans. The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect continued acting disorderly and threw himself against the vehicle, causing damage. The suspect fled the area on foot, prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male, 5’6”-5’7”, in his mid 20’s, with short curly hair styled in a fade or mohawk, wearing a black sweatshirt and dark pants. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her residence when she observed the unknown male suspect outside her window. At approximately 1:17 p.m. on September 2, police were dispatched to a possible dispute. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was entering her apartment when an unknown suspect forced his way inside. The suspect made threats to the victim and took her cell phone. The victim began to scream and the suspect returned her property before fleeing the scene on foot. Officers canvased the area with negative results. The suspect is described as a heavy set black male, slightly under 6’0” tall, wearing a brightly colored shirt. The investigation is ongoing.

David Coleman, 63, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Attempted Burglary, Possession of Burglarious Tools and Destruction of Property. He was held on no bond.

At approximately 8:16 a.m. on July 13, police were dispatched to the report of a trespasser. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was attempting to enter a business when the male suspect allegedly confronted her outside the entrance, exposing his genitals and touching himself inappropriately. The male made inappropriate comments to the victim and spit on her. The male subsequently entered the business and was refusing to leave. Arriving officers located the male suspect inside of the business and took him into custody without incident. The suspect, 35, of Washington, D.C. was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure and Assault & Battery.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was in her vehicle at a traffic light when the unknown male suspect allegedly approached her vehicle and exposed himself. Arriving officers located the suspect nearby and he was taken into custody. The suspect, 39, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure, Drunk in Public and Failure to ID. He was held on no bond.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on July 22, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that after the male suspect was refused service at a business due to his level of intoxication, he allegedly exposed his genitals and inappropriately touched himself, before attempting to approach an employee. The employee was able to push the suspect away and leave the business to call police. Arriving officers located the suspect and took him into custody. The suspect, 31, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure and Drunk in Public.

At approximately 8:40 a.m. on April 24, police were  dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 8:40 a.m., the victim was inside a residence when she heard banging and observed a known male suspect attempting to force entry. The victim secured herself in a room while contacting police, however the suspect gained entry to the residence and verbally threatened the victim while kicking the door to the room she was in. Once quiet, the victim exited the room she was in and made contact with the suspect inside the residence. The suspect continued to threaten and pushed her until a neighbor assisted the victim in forcing the suspect outside of the residence, where he was taken into custody by arriving officers. The victim was not injured. Carlos Lopez, 58, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Burglary, Unlawful Entry, Assault & Battery, Possession of Alcohol by an Interdicted Person and Trespassing. He was held on no bond.

Once confronted by the victim, the suspect left the residence on foot. Responding officers located a suspect matching the victim’s description and he was later positively identified. Dominus Dayton, 37, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry and Assault and Battery. He was held on no bond.
