1200 block of S. Courthouse Road, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 3:31 p.m. on February 3, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was walking in the area when the male suspect called out to her asking for directions from a vehicle. The victim began to assist the suspect, at which point she observed him exposing himself and touching himself inappropriately. The suspect fled in the vehicle prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 40 years old. The vehicle is described as a black Honda CR-V. The investigation is ongoing.
ARMED ROBBERY
1425 S. Eads Street, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 4:34 p.m. on February 5, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim had exited a business and was returning to her vehicle when the two male suspects approached her. Suspect One brandished a firearm, and demanded her personal belongings. A second victim was inside the vehicle, and upon hearing Victim One yelling, she attempted to make noise and photograph the suspects, however, Suspect One then pointed the firearm at her. Both suspects fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect vehicle had previously been reported stolen earlier in the day. Suspect One is described as a Black male, wearing a black mask, black sweater with the hood on, and black pants. Suspect Two is described as a juvenile Black male, wearing a black mask, black sweater with the hood on, and black pants.

700 block of S. Arlington Mill Drive, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 2:50 p.m. on February 9, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was walking on the trail in the area when she observed the male suspect allegedly touching himself inappropriately. As the victim attempted to take a picture of the suspect, he walked away and fled the area prior to police arrival. The investigation determined that approximately one week prior, the victim was walking in the area along the trail when she observed the same suspect allegedly exposing himself and touching himself inappropriately. The suspect is described as a Black male with a dark complexion, approximately 30 years old, 6’0” tall, with a stocky or strong build, 230 lbs., short hair with a five o’clock shadow, wearing black shorts, a gray hoodie, and a black mask.

At approximately 9:47 p.m. on February 9, police were dispatched to the late report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 6:15 p.m., the victim was walking in the area when she noticed the male suspect walking behind her. The suspect approached the victim, grabbed her waist and thrusted himself against her multiple times while making sexual comments. The victim continued walking and, as she approached her residence, the suspect re-approached her and brushed his hands against her breast. The victim was able to enter her residential building and close the door, preventing the suspect from following her inside. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as a Black male, 40-50 years old, approximately 5’4”-5’5”, with a skinny build, black eyes, wearing a green jacket, black hat, and blue mask. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 8:18 a.m. on February 10, police were dispatched to the report of threats. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 7:51 a.m., the victim was walking in the area when she was approached by the unknown male suspect who attempted to engage her in conversation and stated that he had observed her inside her residence through a window. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a Black male, 38-40 years old, approximately 5’10”, muscular build, wearing a light gray jacket, black shirt or sweatshirt, and khaki pants, with black facial hair. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 12:26 p.m. on February 12, police were dispatched to the report of an indecent exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 10:00 a.m. on September 14, 2020, the juvenile female victim was walking in the area when a male suspect inside a vehicle called out to her asking for directions. As the victim was showing directions on her phone, the suspect grabbed the device from her hands. As she got closer to the window, she observed the suspect’s pants were down and he was masturbating. The victim grabbed her phone back from him and he fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 35 – 40 years old driving a black Honda CRV. The investigation is ongoing.

Arriving officers made contact with the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The suspect, 23, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure.

ABDUCTION WITH INTENT TO DEFILE AND SEXUAL BATTERY
3300 block of Lee Highway, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 10:20 a.m. on January 2, police were dispatched to the report of an assault that had just occurred. Arriving officers located the suspect exiting a room and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined that the victim was cleaning a vacant room within a business when the male suspect allegedly entered the room and locked the door behind him. The victim then attempted to unlock the door, however, the suspect got between her and the door and re-latched it. The victim attempted to unlock the door several more times unsuccessfully. The suspect began to touch the victim inappropriately, then removed his pants, at which time the victim was able to break a window to an exterior hallway outside with a chair and escape the room. She sustained minor injuries during the incident. The suspect, 27, of Washington, D.C. was arrested and charged with Abduction with Intent to Defile, Burglary with Intent to Commit Larceny/Assault and Battery, Sexual Battery, and Drunk in Public. He was held on no bond.
INDECENT EXPOSURE
9th Street S. at S. Dinwiddie Street, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 9:28 a.m. on January 3, police were dispatched to the report of a disorderly subject. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her vehicle and honked at the suspect, whose vehicle was blocking an exit to the roadway. The suspect then exited his vehicle and began yelling at the victim. At the request of the victim, the passerby contacted police and confronted the suspect, who returned to his vehicle and flipped up his license plate. The suspect then re-approached the victim and passerby, allegedly exposed himself and fled the area. While investigating this call, police were dispatched to another call for service involving a suspect with a similar description acting disorderly in a parking lot in the 800 block of S. Dickerson Street. The suspect was located, positively identified, and taken into custody without incident. The suspect, 32, of no fixed address was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her residence when she heard the known suspects banging on the door. The victim began to call police, at which point the suspects forced entry into the residence, destroyed electronics and other household items, assaulted the victim, then fled prior to police arrival. Warrants for Breaking and Entering to Commit Assault and Battery, Assault and Battery, and Destruction of Property were obtained for both suspects.

At approximately 7:16 p.m. on January 20, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was attempting to enter her residence when the suspect approached her and grabbed her purse strap. A struggle ensued over the purse, during which the suspect pulled the victim to the ground, dragging her down a set of stairs. The suspect then stole her purse and fled on foot prior to police arrival. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’5” and 155 lbs., with curly hair, wearing a black jacket. The investigation is ongoing.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was obtaining items from her vehicle when she was approached by the suspect, who grabbed her from behind and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim’s hand. A brief struggle ensued, during which some of the cash fell to the ground. The victim went to pick up the money, at which point the suspect stole additional items from her vehicle then fled prior to police arrival. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a black hoodie, black hat, black mask, black sweatpants, and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 1:49 a.m. on December 13, police were dispatched to the report of a peeping. Upon arrival, it was determined that the reporting party observed the unknown suspect pacing outside a residential building and allegedly looking into windows of residences. Arriving officers established a perimeter and observed the suspect hiding in the bushes. Officers made contact with the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The suspect, 45, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with peeping.

At approximately 5:09 p.m. on December 19, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim returned to her residence and observed that items inside had allegedly been tampered with and the unknown male suspect was located asleep inside. Arriving officers made contact with the suspect, and while speaking with him, he became combative. The suspect was subsequently detained without further incident. The suspect, 31, of Alexandria, VA, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry.

At approximately 6:03 p.m. on December 21, police were contacted regarding the late report of a sexual assault. Upon calling the victim, it was determined that at approximately 4:00 p.m., the victim and suspect both exited a bus when the suspect engaged the victim in conversation asking her if she needed directions. The suspect then reached out and touched her breast, then left the area on another bus. The suspect is described as a Black male, 27-29 years old, slim build, approximately 160 lbs. and 5’10”, with short dread lock hair, wearing a black mask, black jacket, and black jeans. At approximately 5:47 p.m. on December 26, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her vehicle using her cell phone when she was approached by two suspects, who opened the rear doors to her vehicle. Suspect One struck her with a closed fist and stole her phone and attempted to steal her purse unsuccessfully, while Suspect Two tampered with items in the vehicle. The victim yelled for assistance, at which point the suspects fled prior to police arrival. The victim sustained minor injuries. Suspect One is described as a Black male in his teens, approximately 5’6”, with a slim build, wearing a dark colored hoodie, blue jeans, and a black mask. Suspect Two is described as a white male in his teens, approximately 5’6”, with a slim build, wearing a dark colored hoodie, jeans, and a mask. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. on December 24, police were dispatched to the late report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 1:27 p.m., the victim was driving in the area when the suspect vehicle pulled alongside her, then attempted to speed up to get in front of her. Both vehicles were stopped at an intersection when the suspect attempted to block in the victim’s vehicle. The suspect exited his vehicle, approached the victim’s window, brandished a firearm at her, and began saying profanities. The suspect then returned to his vehicle and fled prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a tall, slim, male with brown skin, 45-50 years old, wearing a white long sleeve shirt and clean shaven. The vehicle is described as a blue Honda Odyssey with Virginia license plates. The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’4”, wearing blue jeans, a dark grey hoodie, and a white knit hat. The vehicle is described as an older model maroon sedan. At approximately 10:12 p.m. on November 5, police were dispatched to the report of a peeper. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victims were inside their residence when they observed the unknown suspect peering into their living room through a sliding glass door. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. A canvas of the area returned with negative results. The suspect is described as a male, about 5’7” tall and weighing 200 lbs. He was wearing a black sweater, black pants, black hat and black mask at the time of the incident.

Upon arrival, it was determined that approximately an hour prior, the female victim was inside her parked vehicle when she observed the suspect expose himself. Arriving officers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The suspect, 35, of no fixed address was charged with Indecent Exposure: 3+ Offense in 10 Years. It was also determined that he was wanted out of Fairfax County. He was held on no bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING
Highland Street at Clarendon Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on October 2, police were dispatched to the report of an assault that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victims exited a business and were walking in the area when they were approached by a group of suspects who attempted to engage them in conversation. A verbal dispute ensued, during which one suspect got close to Victim One, prompting her to put her hand out to maintain space. The suspects threatened the victims, after which the dispute de-escalated. Shortly after, Victim One had returned to her vehicle nearby, and Victim Two was still in the area of the initial dispute when the suspects approached him again. The suspects exited a vehicle, assaulted Victim Two, then fled in the vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries. Suspect One is described as a Black male, approximately 6’0”, wearing a green and camo hoodie with jeans. Suspect Two is described as a Black male, 5’7”-5’9”. The other suspects in the group are described as two-three Hispanic males. The vehicle is described as a black Honda Accord, driven by a white subject. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 11:56 p.m. on October 4, police were dispatched to the report of a sexual assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the juvenile female victim was walking in the area when she observed the suspect following her. The suspect then approached the victim from behind and grabbed her buttocks. The victim pushed the suspect away and yelled for help, prompting the suspect to flee the scene. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 25 – 35 years old, approximately 5’0” tall, chubby, with short black hair. He was wearing shorts and a dark blue shirt at the time of the incident. A silver Honda minivan was observed by witnesses leaving the area immediately after the incident occurred. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 12:37 p.m. on October 5, police were dispatched to the report of a sexual assault. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was jogging in the area on the Custis Trail when she observed the male suspect jogging towards her. After they passed each other, the suspect turned around, approached the victim from behind and grabbed her buttocks. The suspect fled on foot prior to police arrival. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, pudgy, 5’6”-5’8”, with brown eyes, wearing a tan baseball cap, a white shirt, cargo shorts and white tennis shoes.

At approximately 3:04 p.m. on October 7, police were on scene of another call for service when they were alerted to the report of an exposure in the area. The investigation determined that the reporting party observed the suspect with his pants down, touching himself inappropriately while observing two female victims from behind a fence. The reporting party alerted the victims, and the suspect subsequently fled the area on foot prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as an older Black male, with an average height and build, bald or having very little hair, wearing a blue and black plaid shirt, and khaki pants. At approximately 10:10 a.m. on October 8, police were dispatched to the report of an indecent exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her residence when she observed the male suspect walking back and forth outside her window multiple times touching himself inappropriately. He then stopped in front of the window, pulled down his pants exposing his genitals, and continued to touch himself, then fled prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a Black male, with medium to dark complexion, six feet tall, less than 200 lbs., with dreadlocks, wearing black sweatpants, a hooded sweatshirt and a black neck gaiter style mask. At approximately 7:51 p.m. on October 11, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was walking on a path through the park when the suspect approached her from behind, pushed her to the ground, and attempted to steal her backpack unsuccessfully. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’8”, wearing a black hoodie with the hood up and dark jeans. The investigation is ongoing.

Upon arrival, it was determined that security observed the suspect on a bench in the area touching himself inappropriately. When confronted, the suspect denied his actions and fled on foot prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a White male, slim built, with brown, bushy hair, no shirt, and dark shorts. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY
3100 block of 9th Street N., Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 1:45 a.m. on October 18, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her residence when she heard noise at her door and observed the male suspect outside. As the victim opened the door to see if the suspect was in need of assistance, he requested to be let inside and kicked a shoe and his phone into the residence. As the victim attempted to retrieve the items, the suspect allegedly began to damage the victim’s property outside, then pushed the victim as he attempted to enter the residence. The victim fought back and yelled for assistance, at which point the neighbor came to the aid of the victim and chased the suspect out of the building. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect had also entered another residence in the building. The suspect, 22, of Chantilly, VA, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery, Unlawful Entry, and Drunk in Public.

3100 block of Lee Highway, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 9:58 a.m. on September 8, police were dispatched to the report of an assault that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 9:50 a.m., the victim was walking on the trail when she observed the suspect walking towards her from a distance. She subsequently turned around and began walking away from the suspect, who increased his pace, closing the distance between them. The suspect caught up to the victim, grabbed her hip, and touched her inappropriately. The victim yelled, prompting the suspect to flee on foot prior to police arrival. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as a Black male, 35-40 years old, with an afro, wearing a long sleeve red flannel shirt with a white shirt underneath, shorts, and a blue surgical mask. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 11:58 a.m. on September 17, police were dispatched to the report of an indecent exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victims were playing tennis in a park when they observed the male suspect exposing his genitals and masturbating. As the victims started to leave the area and call police, the suspect fled on foot prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a Black male, 30-40 years old, bald, wearing a white shirt, white sweatpants, and a black face mask. The investigation is ongoing.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
5700 block of Lee Highway, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 2:46 p.m. on September 19, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female juvenile victims were exiting a business when the male subject pulled up next to them in his vehicle and attempted to engage them in conversation. They declined and began to run away. The subject yelled to the victims again to come back to his car, at which point a witness came to the aid of the victims and contacted police. The subject fled in the vehicle prior to police arrival. The subject is described as an Indian male. The vehicle is described as a small, white car. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY
1600 block of Arlington Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 1:48 a.m. on September 23, police were dispatched to the report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 1:40 a.m. the victim was awoken by noise from the suspect allegedly banging on the door to a secured hotel room. The suspect subsequently forced entry to the room, causing damage, and grabbed the woman around the upper torso. The victim was able to free herself from the suspect, who then fled on foot. Arriving officers established a perimeter, canvassed the area, and a K9 track was conducted. At approximately 2:07 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1700 block of N. Quinn Street, where a male matching the suspect description was banging on the door to a building. Arriving officers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the suspect had also caused damage to a shed located outside of the building on Quinn Street. The suspect, 25, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault, Assault and Battery, and Destruction of Property (x2). He was held on no bond.

ROBBERY BY FORCE
1200 block of S. Joyce Street, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 2:17 p.m. on September 30, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was walking in the area when she noticed someone following her. As the victim turned around, the suspect grabbed her purse, causing the strap to break. Two bystanders attempted to chase the suspect, however, he implied he had a firearm, prompting the bystanders to discontinue their efforts. The suspect then entered a vehicle driven by a second suspect and fled the area prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a Black male, 20-30 years old, approximately 6’0”, with a medium cut beard, wearing a black hoodie, sweatpants. The vehicle is described as an old, green and silver Chevrolet minivan. The investigation is ongoing.
