This incident occurred at a home or residence at approximately 12:00 a.m. on May 1.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING
2400 block of S. Kenmore Street, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 1:20 p.m. on May 1, officers responded to the report of an attempted malicious wounding. Upon arrival, it was determined a known male subject attempted to strike a female victim with his vehicle while she was walking across the street with her child. The female victim fell to the ground in an attempt to move out of the way. The subject then fled the scene in the vehicle. Warrants have been obtained for attempted malicious wounding and destruction of property. The investigation is ongoing.

RAPE/SEXUAL ASSAULT
1500 block of Key Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia
The Arlington County Police Department’s Special Victim’s Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in the sexual assault of a female victim which occurred at a residence in the 1500 block of Key Boulevard on Sunday, May 7, 2017. At approximately 9:45 a.m., police responded to the report of an unknown male suspect who entered the residential building and began knocking on various apartment doors claiming to be a maintenance worker. Once the female victim opened her door, a physical struggle ensued between the victim and the suspect. During the attack, the suspect sexually assaulted the victim. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, approximately 6’0″ tall with a slim build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with dark pants and carrying a backpack. Prior to the sexual assault, the alleged suspect was captured on surveillance video attempting to gain entry into a residential building in the 1900 block of Wilson Boulevard. The suspect is seen waiting in the entryway prior to following a resident into the secure building. The suspect is then stopped by the concierge who refused further access into the building. The suspect leaves the area on foot in the direction of the 1500 block of Key Boulevard.

PEEPING

At approximately 11:48 p.m. on May 18, officers responded to the report of a peeping. Upon arrival, it was determined a known male subject was allegedly seen peeping into a residence’s window. A warrant was obtained for the subject.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY
1900 block of Columbia Pike, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 2:09 a.m. on May 19, officers responded to the report of a burglary that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined a female victim came home to find an unknown male suspect in her residence. When confronted, the suspect fled the scene on foot. No items appeared to be missing. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’0” tall and weighed 200 lbs. He was wearing a black shirt and black shorts with stripes down the side.

This incident occurred at a home or residence at approximately 6:00 p.m. on May 19.

INDECENT EXPOSURE
1400 block of N. Taft Street, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 11:36 p.m. on May 19, officers responded to the report of an indecent exposure that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined a male subject allegedly exposed his genitals to a female victim. Airimis Arutiunian, 27, of Arlington VA, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure. He was held on a secured bond.

This incident occurred in a parking lot or garage at approximately 1:00 p.m. on May 21.

Wilson Boulevard at N. Rhodes Street, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on May 23, officers responded to the report of a man exposing himself. Upon arrival, it was determined a woman was walking in the area when she observed a male subject allegedly exposing himself. The subject is described as a black male in his late thirties, approximately 5’7”-6’3” tall and weighed 175-230 lbs. He was wearing a dark jacket, tan pants, and baseball cap. The investigation is ongoing.

This incident occurred at a home or residence at approximately 3:51 a.m. on May 24.

ENTICEMENT
3000 block of N. Harrison Street, Arlington, Virginia
At approximately 9:15 p.m. on May 25, police were dispatched to the report of an enticement. The investigation revealed that at approximately 8:00 a.m. on May 25, a juvenile male was walking in the area when an adult male subject in a silver four-door sedan pulled alongside him. The subject asked the juvenile where he was going and if he wanted a ride. When the juvenile responded no, the subject drove off in an unknown direction. The subject is described as a white male between 40-60 years old with gray hair. The investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 3:55 p.m. on May 25, officers responded to the report of a late indecent exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined a known male subject exposed his genitals to a known female victim. Warrants have been obtained for indecent exposure for Gregory Scheifele, 44, of Arlington VA.

At approximately 1:20 p.m. on May 28, officers responded to the report of a late indecent exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on May 28, an unknown male subject exposed himself to a female victim. The subject is described as a white male, approximately 5’8”-6’0” tall and weighed 170-190 lbs. He was wearing brown capris pants, an unknown color t-shirt, and black sunglasses. The investigation is ongoing.
